As we near the end of 2025 and get ready for the new year, one theme that I’ve observed throughout the year has been the power of perception. Perspectives are very tricky since no two people will ever have the same perspective unless they are cloned. Even that being said, I am not fully confident that the perspectives will be the same since we are all unique be-ings and souls. Our perspectives are created and molded by our own life experiences and the way we experienced those events. Our perspectives can get polarized based on whether or not we perceived the experience to be a good one or a bad one. Even social media and what shows up on our phones are based on algorithms that are programmed to show us the information that we look at the most. Why does this matter?

We are quickly moving into an age, where we have to question the information that we are being given due to many factors such as Artificial Intelligence, who owns the mainstream media, and even more so, who funds the supposed scientific research studies. We are constantly bombarded by a plethora of stories, world events, and supposed experts, but unless you are there physically to witness what is going on, we can only go by a leap of faith and trust in what we are being shown. Our very emotions are being manipulated and this is something that I feel we need to guard against. News reporting has become more shocking and if we don’t find a way to keep centered, it’s very easy for us to ride the emotional roller coaster. So, if you find yourself irrationally reacting to the news or having emotional outbursts, it’ll be a good time to step back and reassess why are you being triggered.

The same goes for our health and well-being. Since COVID and the introduction of the shots and boosters, there have been more weird health crises such as strokes, stage 4 cancers that pop up, and myocarditis to name a few. The hardest part about the current perspective of health is that cancer is bad, and the only way to treat is to do chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. However, there are other more natural options available to treat cancer or help someone heal from cancer. Other health crises such as respiratory issues or even mental health issues can be managed, but with the health insurance companies in control, decision delays, along with an overburdened healthcare system, it seems a necessity to take more of an ownership over your health and well-being. Taking the time to listen to your body signals and identifying when something is amiss will help you to have less worries and create more trust in your intuition and inner knowing.

One of my main goals since I started my practice over 26 years ago, was to teach my members to become the doctors of their own bodies. I truly believe that the moment we take responsibility for the choices we make for our lives and health, the less worries we will have in our ability to live a healthy lifestyle. Medical physicians, healers, and other health specialists are there to give you their recommendations, however it is up to you to make the final decision on what to do with your body and health.

However, the one caveat that I strongly recommend is to never make a decision based out of fear. I’ve observed through my many years of practice that the people who made decisions out of fear, ended up creating more problems and had to spend more time addressing the side effects from their past surgical or medication decisions. The time has come for you to BE the one determining whether you thrive as you get older or not.

In order to achieve this, one strategy that you can use is to reframe what you have experienced and what you are currently going through. Many of the choices we make are based upon past experiences and whether or not they were good or bad ones. If you are able to reframe a current health challenge and see how it is actually pushing you to take care of yourself and make different choices, it will benefit you in the long term, and you will have less anxiety. Worry and anxiety are caused by the unknown, and the usual tendency is to assume a future experience will cause more pain and suffering. However, if you hone the strategy of recognizing the benefits you are gaining from a current health crisis, the less scary the experience becomes. So, find the silver lining in whatever challenges you are going through and balance out your perspective. Like a coin which has two sides our experiences have positives and negatives; we just get blinded to one of them.
